Youth Ministry

The vision statement for the youth ministry is Seek God. Reach Out. Teach Others. In all things, we need to seek God. This is accomplished through Bible study, huddles, Sunday School, retreats, camps, etc. We also must reach out. This is accomplished through mission activities, meeting the needs of others, and inviting them in. Finally, we want to teach others. Youth can do this by teaching the children or their peers at church, teaching their friends at school or the people they work with, and answering any questions that people may ask them about their faith.

We are also social creatures, so social events in a Christian setting are always a focus for the youth ministry. Over the past year, our youth have enjoyed a Christmas Progressive Dinner, lock-ins, Centrifuge in Ridgecrest, NC, slip-n-slide kickball, white water rafting, and many other events.

As we look forward into the future, there are lots of exciting things planned as we continue to be intentional about seeking, reaching, and teaching together. As the Student Minister, I look forward to seeing our youth group grow not only in number but in their depth of knowledge about Scripture and in their Christian walk.
